Platts removes BASF additives from Singapore gasoil assessment

Following a continued review of additives reflected in its FOB Singapore gasoil assessments, Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has removed BASF Keroflux cold flow improver additives 6170, 6206 and 6214 from Jan. 1, 2025.

Platts understands that these additives were gradually decommissioned by the producer BASF through May 2024, and since then there has been no further supply of the aforementioned products.

The list of Platts gasoil recognized additives is intended to provide clarity to market participants regarding which additives are generally considered to be merchantable and accepted for cargoes delivered through the Platts Market on Close assessment process in Singapore.

Platts does not align its FOB Singapore additives acceptance to any particular importing country.
