Platts amends crude descriptions

On October 17, 2011, an announcement was posted stating that the descriptions of some Canadian, US, and South American crudes would have their descriptions amended.

The following Canadian and Latin American crudes are currently miscategorized in the RI market data category.

From today, these codes will be found in both RI and their correct categories: RC for the Canada crudes and CL for Latin America crudes.

Effective January 2, 2012, Platts will formally remove the miscategorized codes from the RI category.

They will remain either in RC or CL.
