Platts launches ferrous scrap assessments

Platts will launch a daily spot price assessment for deepsea and shortsea delivery of ferrous scrap CFR Turkey.

Also Platts will launch price assessments for HMS No.1 and shredded ferrous scrap, delivered dockside US East Coast.

These assessments combined with existing ferrous scrap pricing will be published in Platts Metals Alert, Steel Markets Daily and Platts Dispatch category FA.

Platts ferrous scrap assessments CFR Turkey will be published on Platts Metals Alert page MW1323, and the US EC ferrous scrap assessments PMA page MW1318.

Launch date is scheduled for December 1, 2010.
