Following feedback on a proposal to discontinue assessments of Abu Dhabi's Umm Shaif and Lower Zakum crude grades announced on April 7, 2014. In addition, margins, weekly and monthly averages for each of the grades will be discontinued. Yields and netbacks for each of the grades will be discontinued from September 1, 2014, at which point Platts will launch yields and netbacks for Das Blend crude. Both Umm Shaif and Lower Zakum will have been blended together by Abu Dhabi National Oil Corp. to form the new Das Blend crude, which Platts started assessing May 2, 2014. The Umm Shaif and Lower Zakum assessments are currently published on Platts Global Alert pages 2220, 2222 and 1051, and in the Crude Oil Marketwire. The yields and netbacks are published on PGA pages 2810, 2812, and in the Crude Oil Marketwire. Weekly yields and netbacks are published on PGA page 2814 and in the Oilgram Price Report.
Effective August 1,2014, the following codes have been discontinued.
