PRS (Platts Reference Standard) data enhancements

In June 2016, S&P Global Platts is going to implement the following enhancements for PRS data. The exact live date will be updated later on.

1. For all the commodities, a new column "Calendar Code" will be added to the PRS files posted on ftp.platts.com. Calendar Code is a symbol which represents calendar schedule for either a Platts editorial region or an exchange, with value 0 representing a holiday and 1 representing a trade day and delivered on Platts FTP site through transactional FTP files.

2. For oil, an additional column "Price Type" will also be added to the file. Price Type can be official selling price, rack price, etc.

Currently in the PRS folder on the FTP site, there are the following PRS files to be affected:

Gas_Reference_Data.csv Oil_Reference_Data.csv Power_Reference_Data.csv Gas_Reference_Changelog.csv Oil_Reference_Changelog.csv Power_Reference_Changelog.csv
