Harmonizing Platts Bunker Charge and Container Rate symbols

The following Bunker Charge symbols have been created in the Market Data category CTR (Shipping: Containers).

These have been created to move existing PBC33 and PBC34 symbols (PBC3300, PBC3303, PBC3400 and PBC3403), to be in line with new PCR assessments, prospectively PCR41 and PCR42, which are launching on May 15.

PBC3300, PBC3303, PBC3400 and PBC3403 will therefore be discontinued once the new PBC4100, PBC4103, PBC4200 and PBC4203 assessments are launched.

Furthermore, all historical pricing data for PBC33 & PBC34 will be available under the symbols shown below.

The new Platts Bunker Charge will appear on following:

Publications: Dry Freight Wire, Dry Freight Wire Monthly, and Bunkerwire

They are scheduled to begin updating May 1.
