Updated Symbol Directories now available on www.platts.com

Platts has now posted updated versions of its Symbol Directories at http://www.platts.com/Client%20Services/symbolsdir.html . These directories provide complete information on the symbols used to identify Platts assessments and other time series in convenient spreadsheet form, and are the only publicly-available source of information on symbols which have been discontinued. They are updated on the Platts website every other month.

Instructions for using Symbol Directories, as well as information on other sources of information on Platts symbols can be found at http://www.platts.com/Client%20Services/Symbol_list_directions.xls . This instructions spreadsheet also includes a table of contents for the directories, as well as lists of the currency and unit of measure codes they contain.
