The following codes were created in dispatch category RU. They represent daily assessment and monthly averages of Americas Sour Marker (ASM) for current month and 2 months out. This marker will reflect the most competitively priced grade from a basket of US Gulf Coast sour crudes: Mars, Poseidon, Southern Green Canyon, and Thunder Horse.

Daily assessments are represented by low (l) and high (h) bates and monthly averages are represented by low (l), high (h) and close (c=mean) bates. All codes are measured in US$/Bbl and carry 2 decimal places.

The daily assessment will be published in the Crude Oil Marketwire, North American Crude Wire, Platts Oilgram Price Report and PGA 171. Monthly averages will appear in Platts Monthly Price Supplement.

Launch date is scheduled for Mar 16, 2009.
