Metals codes temporarily reactivated

Platts will temporarily continue 5 copper, lead, tin prices Platts is delaying the discontinuation of five formula prices because some customers using these prices did not see the advance notices in the second half of last year. To accommodate these customers, Platts is republishing the January 2014 monthly averages to include the following: Copper MW Producer Cathode (MMACT02), Copper MW Producer Refined (MMACS02), Lead MW NA Producer (MMAAL02), Lead Secondary Producer (MMAAM02) and Tin Composite (MMAAV02). Please note that these prices will be discontinued on March 31, 2014, after publication of the March monthly averages. Possible alternatives for these prices are Copper COMEX HG 1st Position (Spot) plus the Platts NY Dealer Premium Cathode (new all-in price to be added as US Copper Transaction price), Lead North American Market (AADDN00) and Tin MW NY Dealer (MMAAW02).
