Infographic: EU achieves 90% gas storage target well ahead of winter season

The EU reached its 90% gas storage target on August 19, some 11 weeks ahead of the EU-mandated November 1 deadline. The target was reached thanks to a mild 2023/24 winter, subdued gas demand, and continued strong Norwegian deliveries. Ukrainian storage, however, is underutilized this year by foreign traders amid repeated Russian attacks.
