Sam Huntington, Director on the North American Power team, leads research on energy storage in wholesale power markets and covers regional power issues in the WECC
Sam, Director on the North American Power team, specializes in energy storage and power market fundamentals. He leverages a background in power modeling to conduct analyses on the interaction between renewables, energy storage, and conventional resources in wholesale power markets. With more than 10 years experience in the industry, he is a regular speaker at S&P Global Energy events and external conferences, and have been cited by major media publications. He uses his expertise to advise clients on a variety of issues related to market strategy, due diligence, and scenario development.
Prior to joining S&P Global Energy, Sam was a consultant on state energy efficiency policy before completing graduate work on distributed energy resources and the utility of the future.
He holds a BA in mathematics from Colby College and a MS in technology and policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Bruno Brunetti leads the PPA markets analysis and environmental markets research, which includes forecasting of EU GO, UK REGO and renewables energy credits globally.
Bruno spent over 5 years at S&P Global Platts, leading the long-term power modelling and renewables capture prices forecasts. He also led the global wind and solar outlooks, while also expanding the analytics coverage into global power markets.
Bruno spent over 15 years at PIRA Energy Group, now part of S&P Global, where he launched and managed the PIRA’s European Electricity Service, which provides market insights into the developments of power generation, demand, cross-border trading, and prices for Europe’s most relevant markets.
Bruno graduated magna cum laude in economics and management from Bari University (Italy) and obtained a masters in energy economics from the ENSPM/Institut Français du Pétrole (Paris).

Kelly Morgan is a research director in the 451 Research technology research group at S&P Global Market Intelligence. She is responsible for the Datacenter Services & Infrastructure team as well as the M&A practice. Her research includes analysis of datacenter providers, market size, supply/demand, new technology and datacenter industry trends, as well as M&A activity.
Before joining S&P Global Market Intelligence in 2019 via acquisition, Kelly spent more than 18 years covering datacenters and telecommunications at both 451 Research and in private equity. She also worked for several years in Paris at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, managing the organization’s budget process.
Kelly holds a BA degree with honors from Wesleyan University and an MA from Tufts, where she studied international business and economics.

Steve Piper is Director of Energy Research with S&P Global Energy. He has been with the company since 2009. Steve specializes in market price forecasting, economic feasibility assessment, demand forecasting and environmental analysis. Steve manages strategic research and forecasting for SNL Energy’s clients in the utilities, natural gas and coal industries.
Prior to his role at S&P Market Intelligence, Steve held positions at Platts, RDI and RCG/HaglerBailly.
