During this breakfast, we will discuss the vital role of methodologies and data grounded in science used to inform confident business and financing decisions around evolving energy transition, climate and sustainability risks and opportunities.
Simon's work focuses on economic modeling of climate risks. Prior to S&P, Simon was a research scholar for 7 years at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), where he worked in energy and climate change research. Simon has over 40 peer-reviewed publications and was a contributing author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

Rohini Samtani serves as Business Development Manager for Climate Risk at S&P Global Horizons. She focuses on the strategic development of S&P Global Physical Climate Risk products across Asia and Middle east regions. Prior to joining S&P Global Horizons she was at Bloomberg engaging with their broad range of financial data products.

She focuses on the strategic development of S&P Global Physical Climate Risk products across Asia and Middle east regions. Prior to joining S&P Global Horizons she was at Bloomberg engaging with their broad range of financial data products. She had a key focus on business development of the Sustainable Finance solutions and solutions to banks in Southeast Asia region. She began her career as a news producer at finance news channel CNBC Asia Pacific. She graduated with a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Hons) in Communications and New Media from the National University of Singapore.

Global Head of Product and Services
Bob MacKnight is the Head of Product & Services at S&P Global Horizons, where he leads a team focused on building software, analytics, and data solutions to help companies embed sustainability metrics into their strategic planning, investment, and regulatory reporting activities. He serves on the Horizons Leadership Team and is responsible for developing and executing the strategy and vision for Horizons’s product and services offerings.
Bob previously led the Climate & Nature Risk product team in Horizons and has deep expertise in climate risk and the energy transition space. Prior to joining Horizons, he held leadership roles at S&P Global Energy focusing on the development of energy value chain emissions quantification and energy transition analytics solutions.
Earlier in his career he held roles leading consulting and research initiatives in the energy practices of IHS Markit and PFC Energy.
Bob holds a BS and an MS in Earth Science from the University of California, Santa Cruz.

Climate Scientist, Climate Center of Excellence
Simon's work focuses on economic modeling of climate risks. Prior to S&P Global, Simon was a research scholar for 7 years at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), where he worked in energy and climate change research. Simon has over 40 peer-reviewed publications and was a contributing author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Simon also developed climate scenario modeling tools for financial institutions and regulators in Canada, and as a consultant he supported companies in the US and Europe in quantifying their greenhouse gas emissions.
Simon holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Victoria.
