Xavier Leflaive leads the work on Water in the OECD Environment Directorate. The programme of work aims to support governments for the design, implementation and financing of policies that contribute to water security and sustainable growth. On-going projects cover financing water, and water & health. They touch upon nature-based solutions and resilient infrastructure.
Xavier Leflaive leads the work on Water in the OECD Environment Directorate. The programme of work aims to support governments for the design, implementation and financing of policies that contribute to water security and sustainable growth. Xavier joined the OECD in 2004. He coordinated the Recommendation of the OECD Council on water, which captures OECD policy guidance on the management of water resources, water supply and sanitation services, and water-related risks. He has facilitated policy reforms in Brazil, Korea, Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia…
Xavier Leflaive studied business administration and social theory in France, Canada and the UK. He holds a PhD in Social and Political Sciences from the University of Cambridge, UK.

Xavier Leflaive a rejoint l’OCDE en 2004. Xavier Leflaive a étudié la gestion et les sciences sociales en France, au Canada et au Royaume-Uni. Il est docteur en sciences sociales et politiques de l’Université de Cambridge. Il enseigne les relations internationales et le financement de l’eau à Sciences Po.

Emilio Tenuta is senior vice president of Corporate Sustainability and chief sustainability officer for Ecolab. For the past 11 years, he has led Ecolab’s strategic sustainability journey and is actively involved in advancing global sustainability practices, with a significant focus on water stewardship and climate action.
Emilio Tenuta is senior vice president of Corporate Sustainability and chief sustainability officer for Ecolab. For the past 11 years, he has led Ecolab’s strategic sustainability journey and is actively involved in advancing global sustainability practices, with a significant focus on water stewardship and climate action.
In recent years, he’s become a leader in environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices and reporting. Partnering with investor relations and Ecolab’s Chief Executive Officer, Tenuta has advanced Ecolab’s reputation as an ESG leading company. He is chair of the board of directors of the World Environment Center, a global non-profit, non-advocacy organization. Emilio is also on the leadership council of the Corporate Eco Forum.
In partnership with S&P Trucost – and a multi-stakeholder advisory group – Tenuta led development of the Water Risk Monetizer, industry’s first financial modeling tool to assess water-related risks, and the Smart Water Navigator, a free online tool to help businesses improve water management and achieve their water reduction targets.
