Nucor, Gerdau cut US beam prices by $60/st

Pittsburgh — Nucor and Gerdau on Monday cut list prices on structural products in the US, according to letters sent to customers.

Nucor dropped list prices for most wide flange beam products by $60/st. Gerdau also lowered published prices $60/st on wide flange beams and standard beam products.

"While demand for structural products remains consistent and growing in key markets across the US, prolonged destocking activity present in the market today and resulting price pressure from domestic competitors continues to skew real market dynamics," Nucor said in its letter to customers.
