Sustainability and climate reporting standards saw convergence during 2023, with the formal disbanding of the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). This has marked a point of transition for climate reporting, with the TCFD recommendations being fully incorporated into the ISSB Standards.
ISSB further raises the bar on climate reporting, including additional disclosure requirements related to third party validation of targets and metrics, more information on GHG emission targets, the impact of recent climate change-related international agreements, and more.

Mitch is a Director of Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy for S&P Global Horizons. His primary responsibilities include facilitating the successful commercial deployment of S&P’s sustainability and climate solutions, contributing to thought leadership, supporting internal education, developing new product related content, and conducting market research. His main areas of focus include the asset management segment and global sustainability regulations.

Prior to joining Horizons, Mitch’s professional experience spanned the financial services industry. He has worked previously for Brookfield Asset Management, Aon Investment Consulting, and PNC Bank. Mitch holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Northwestern University | Kellogg School of Management with a concentration in Strategy and Finance and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Economics from The Ohio State University.

Rocio leads the Regulatory & Reporting Product team for S&P Global Horizons, and she is committed to pioneering sustainable finance solutions.
Rocio brings to the role 20 years of experience in consulting and financial services, focused on sustainability risk and regulation. She has led ESG and regulatory projects for European banks and corporates, such as climate stress tests, transition and physical risk modeling, ESG risk and double materiality assessments, portfolio footprint assessment or ESG Marketplace solutions. Prior to joining us, she was a Senior Director for the Financial Services division and ESG Hub of global consulting firm Alvarez & Marsal, and also has previous experience in commercial banks in several risk and regulatory roles.

Nicolaj serves as Director Investor Relationship, EMEA, for ISSB. Previously, he worked in ESG Corporate Ratings heading a team of analysts covering Energy, Materials, and Utilities where he helped managed the corporate ratings methodology and produced thought leadership content.

David Pitt-Watson is a leading campaigner and practitioner in the field of responsible investment.
He has been involved in the field of Responsible Investing for more than thirty years. Amongst his many appointments, he was co-founder, and former CEO of Federated Hermes Focus Funds and Equity Ownership Service. He chaired the UN Environment Programme’s Finance Initiative in the run up to the Paris Climate Conference. He was senior non-executive at KPMG, and a visiting professor at Cambridge University.
Recently he has led the Climate Accounting and Audit Group, focussing on ensuring that company financial reports reflect the challenge of global warming.
