Platts to include eight new additives in Singapore gasoil

Following a review of recognized additives reflected in its FOB Singapore gasoil assessments, Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will add eight new additives from Innospec, Clariant, Nalco and Shandong Maikaide Energy Saving Technology, with effect from January 13, 2023.

These additives are:

Platts first proposed the inclusion of these eight additives in separate subscriber notes published in 2022 on March 8, April 12, Aug. 10, Aug. 16, and Aug. 29, respectively.

Platts understands that all of these additives have broad market acceptance and/or have been consumed in the region and are reflected in the key regional national chemical inventory.

Platts has completed the review for R791 wax anti-settling flow improver by Infineum, and EC5583A conductivity improver by Nalco. Platts will not be including these two additives in the list of recognized additives reflected in its Platts FOB Singapore gasoil assessments. Platts first proposed the inclusion of these additives in subscriber notes published March 29, 2022 and Aug. 29, 2022.
