Platts to start publishing Brazil refined product postings from Acelen Dec 15
Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, will start publishing Brazilian refined product posted prices from private refiner Acelen for A-grade gasoline and S10 diesel, effective Dec. 15.
As the largest privately-owned oil refiner in the country, Acelen is a major supplier of refined products to Northeast Brazil, alongside Petrobras and imported material. Its Mataripe refinery, located in the state of Bahia, has the capacity to process around 300,000 b/d of crude oil, producing gasoline, diesel, butane, propane, asphalt, lubricants, naphtha, jet fuel — among others.
These posted prices from Acelen will be published in Brazilian real per cubic meter on a daily basis. They will be published on fixed page 1710 of Platts Global Alert and Platts Refined Products Alert, and in Brazil Fuels Market Report.

A-grade fuels are how gasoline and diesel are defined in Brazil by the National Petroleum Agency, ANP, before the mandatory blend with biofuels. S10 indicates ultra low sulfur diesel, with a maximum 10 ppm sulfur.
