Platts proposes to amend Asian ethylene assessment cargo size specifications
Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, proposes to revise the cargo size specifications for its Asian ethylene assessments to reflect evolving trading norms, effective Jan. 4, 2027.
Based on market feedback, Platts understands that traded cargo sizes for Asian ethylene have increased in line with larger newbuild ships in recent years, and cargoes of up to 5,000 metric tons are now considered typical in the Asian markets.
To reflect these changes, Platts proposes to update the cargo size specifications for the assessments below:
| Assessment | Symbol | Current Cargo Size Specification | Proposed Cargo Size Specification |

AAOTM00 (Daily) AAOUZ05 (Friday) AAOTM05 (W eekly av erage ) AAOTM03 ( M onthly average ) |
