Platts launches FCA Barcelona pork price assessments Nov. 2
Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, has launched three new weekly price assessments for fresh pork on an FCA Barcelona basis, effective Nov. 2, 2026.
The assessments expand Platts' existing pork coverage, complementing its "field-to-fork" coverage of protein and animal feed, providing broader visibility across key product categories that are actively traded into the EU.
The launch follows earlier subscriber notes proposing and confirming the assessments on Sept. 24.
The assessments reflect the following specifications:

The assessments are based on bids, offers, trades and market activity reported to Platts prior to the 4:30 pm London market close and reflect prevailing market value at the time of publication. Monthly averages are also published, along with a conversion to US dollars per metric ton using the relevant euro/US dollar exchange rate.
The assessments follow the Platts UK publishing calendar and will appear on the fixed pages PAA0214 and PAA0218 in Platts Protein Daily and on Energy Core.
