Platts to launch STS Lome Gasoline differentials to Eurobob FOB AR assessments

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, will launch a new daily price assessment reflecting the differential between the Gasoline STS Lome assessment and the Gasoline Eurobob FOB AR barge assessment, effective Nov. 23, 2026.

This follows increased demand for transparency on West African gasoline differentials, as Nigeria's Dangote refinery continues to reshape flows and pricing dynamics in the Atlantic Basin.

The assessed differential is calculated as the difference between the physical Gasoline STS Lome assessment and the midpoint of the three-to-10-day forward strip, itself derived from the established Gasoline Eurobob FOB AR barge assessment derivative assessments.

The new assessments will provide a transparent indication of the value of STS Lome gasoline relative to Northwest European gasoline blendstock assessments, and will complement Platts existing outright STS Lome gasoline differentials against Platts Premium 10ppm FOB Mediterranean cargoes and Premium 10ppm FOB Rotterdam barges.

Platts will assess the differential in $/metric ton, reflecting the difference between the relevant STS Lome gasoline assessment and the physical Platts Eurobob FOB AR assessment.

Platts will publish the new assessments in $/mt, time-stamped at 4.30 pm London time, as well as a monthly average.

The new gasoline assessments will be found in European Marketscan and on Platts Global Alert and Platts Refined Products Alert fixed page 1122.

Platts continues to monitor evolving West Africa oil product flows and seeks industry feedback on its existing West African refined oil products assessment methodology.
