Platts to launch forward derivative assessments for STS Lome gasoline, diesel and jet fuel

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, has noted increasing demand for transparency on West African refined products, both on a spot market basis and for forward delivery. In response, Platts will start publishing daily forward swap assessments for the existing Gasoline STS Lome, Low Sulfur Diesel STS Lome, and Jet Fuel STS Lome physical price assessments, effective Nov. 30, 2026. These will be published as Month 1, Month 2, and Month 3 assessments.

In order to assess the derivatives on an editorial basis, Platts will consult a range of market information, including information heard in the physical market, relevant forward exchange-traded data, as well as related markets.

The published assessments will correspond with delivery dates three months forward, starting with the front month [M1], followed by M2 and M3.

The assessments will reflect value at 16:30 London time. Heard bids/offers and trades will be reported in real time throughout the day on Platts PGA005, along with other relevant market information, and the information published will be used to inform the physical assessment.
