Platts North Sea crude oil cargo Market on Close incrementability changes
Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, is changing the incrementability guidelines to allow bids and offers for North Sea cargoes to improve by up to 15 cents/barrel per change, effective immediately, Oct. 16, 2026.
These changes apply only to the Oct. 16 Platts Market on Close assessment process. This compares with the typical 5 cents/b per change.
This temporary change reflects current market volatility on physical cargo differentials.
The standard timing and increments for the MOC for oil can be found here.
Platts reserves the right to change incrementability guidelines in the MOC throughout the day, depending on evolving market conditions.
These changes apply to the Platts North Sea cargo assessments.
