Platts proposes to launch new India domestic toluene ex-tank assessment Dec. 7, 2026
Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, proposes to launch a new India domestic ex-tank toluene daily spot assessment from Dec. 7, 2026.
The proposed assessment would capture price movements in India's expanding domestic toluene spot market, where Platts has observed increasing spot liquidity and evolving standardization. The assessment would complement Platts existing CFR India toluene assessment.
| Product | Toluene |
| Quantity | 100-300 mt |
| Laycan | 0-15 days |
| Basis Location | Kandla |
| Currency and UoM | Rupees/kg |
The proposed assessment would reflect bids, offers and trades on 70 days open credit basis, and reflect toluene with minimum purity of 99.5% and maximum benzene content of 0.10 ppm.
Platts would take into consideration price information sourced from the market up to the close of the assessment process at 4:30 pm Singapore time (0830 GMT) for the new ex-tank toluene assessment. The assessment would follow Platts India publishing calendar.
