Platts proposes to rename CIF North America, FOB China rare earth price assessments
Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, is proposing to change the description of its CIF North America and FOB China rare earth price assessments, effective Jan. 4, 2027.
Platts is proposing to make these changes to harmonize the naming convention for its suite of rare earth price assessments. The underlying methodology applied and symbols associated with the assessments would remain unchanged.
Platts proposes to change the names of the following assessments:
