Platts clarifies tanker assessments exclude Additional War Risk Premiums, related war-risk insurance costs

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, would like to clarify that its global tanker freight assessments are published exclusive of Additional War Risk Premiums (AWRP) and related war-risk insurance costs.

Platts understands that, under standard charter party war-risk clauses, AWRP is typically passed through to charterers as a separate, additional charge, together with crew war bonuses and security-related expenses.
