Platts clarifies certification specification of its R-PET Food Grade Pellet EXW India assessment

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, is clarifying that its Recycled PET Food Grade Pellet Ex-Works India assessment (symbol: RPFGI00) reflects only Food Safety and Standards Authority of India-approved food-grade material. FSSAI-approved certification is considered mandatory for food packaging under India's Plastic Waste Management Rules (amended in 2026).

The weekly and monthly average symbols for the assessment are RPFGI04 and RPFGI03, respectively.
