Platts launches DDP US Northeast shrimp price assessments Sept. 1
Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, has launched four new daily DDP Northeast shrimp price assessments and amended the current incoterm for its existing assessment, effective Sept. 1, 2026.
The assessments expand Platts' existing shrimp coverage and complement the current peeled, deveined, tail-on 16-20 count shrimp assessment, providing broader visibility across key product categories that are actively traded into the Northeast.
The launch of the new assessments was first proposed July 3, 2026 in a subscriber note available here, and a decision note was published on Aug. 4, 2026, in a subscriber note available here.

All new assessments will also be published as monthly averages.
The incoterm for the existing PDTO 16/20 Shrimp CIF US will be amended to DDP US Northeast, to better reflect trading patterns in the US. An additional US dollar per lb assessment is also added:

All new and existing assessments follow the Platts US publishing schedule and will appear on the fixed pages PAA0203 and PAA0202 in Platts Protein Daily and on Energy Core.
The assessments consider market information reported to Platts and published as heards throughout the day, including firm bids and offers, trades, indicative values and any other data deemed relevant to the assessment process.
