Platts introduces German THE hub month-ahead assessment, NCG & GASPOOL month-aheads discontinued

S&P Global Platts has introduced the German THE natural gas hub month-ahead assessment to its suite of European gas assessments, while at the same time, discontinuing the equivalent NetConnect Germany and GASPOOL month-ahead assessments, effective Sept. 1.

The new THE month-ahead assessments will be available on the European Power Alert Fixed Page EP0802 as well as the Natural Gas Alert Fixed Page NG0802, as well as the conversions from Eur/MWh to pence/therm, $/MMBtu, and Eur/Gj.

The NCG and GASPOOL Fixed Pages will continue to show day-ahead and weekend assessments through until Sept. 29, when the THE day-ahead and weekend assessments will be introduced and the legacy NCG and GASPOOL equivalents will be discontinued.

The monthly averages for the THE month-ahead contract will be introduced and will be found on EP0866 and EP0867 from Oct. 1 onwards, including conversions into p/th, $/MMBtu, Eur/Gj, and $/1,000 cu m.
