Following industry feedback, Platts has decided to clarify its methodology for the biodiesel FOB Southeast Asia assessment (AAVSV00).
The assessment will take into consideration palm methyl ester, or PME, product that conforms to EN 14214 specifications with cold filter plugging point set at plus 13 degrees Celsius maximum and a maximum water content of 350 ppm.
The specifications reflect the vast majority of biodiesel cargoes being produced in Southeast Asia and exported into international markets.
The clarification will be added accordingly into the global biofuels methodology and specifications guide.
