Platts consults market on Chile import parity prices for gasoline, diesel and jet

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, is proposing to launch import-parity prices for gasoline, diesel and jet fuel in Chile.

The prices would represent the cost of each product imported on the day of publication. They include the product value, freight, demurrage, storage, insurance, losses and quality differences, customs and agency fees, where applicable. The assessments would be published daily in dollars per barrel, along with weekly and monthly averages.

These assessments will be published on PGA/PRF 169, 170, 171, and in LatinWire .

Initial market feedback has indicated support for these assessments. Platts is seeking feedback for specific ports and cities to use for its calculations, as well as any specific costs to take into account.

Please send all feedback and comments by Sept. 7 to americas_products@spglobal.com and pricegroup@spglobal.com. For written comments, please provide a clear indication if comments are not intended for publication by Platts for public viewing.

Platts will consider all comments received and will make comments not marked as confidential available upon request.
