Platts discontinues redundant monthly average symbols for propylene contract prices

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has discontinued its monthly average symbols for polymer-grade and chemical-grade propylene contract prices, effective Aug. 15 , 2025.

The final monthly average was calculated for July 2025.

Platts will continue to database the monthly industry settled propylene contract prices once per month, on the first working day of the month, under the following symbols:

These assessments can be found in Olefinscan and Polymerscan as well as on Platts Connect and in the Platts Price Point database.
