Platts to discontinue third season ahead UK clean spark spreads with Carbon Price Support (CPS) October 1
Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, will discontinue its third season ahead UK clean spark spread assessments that include the Carbon Price Support (CPS) effective Oct. 1, 2026.
This discontinuation of the third season ahead spreads aligns with the period starting April 2028, which is when the CPS will be removed by the government. More information around the government's announced changes can be found here.
Platts will continue to publish third season ahead UK clean spark spread assessments, which exclude the CPS. The full suite of assessments can be found here.
