Platts amends EU Pork Marker and CFR Pork Belly North Asia Assessments, Aug. 3

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, amends the specifications for its EU Pork Marker (EUPMK00, EUPMK03, EUPML00, EUPML03) and CFR Pork Belly North Asia (GPSEB00, GSEB03) price assessments, effective Aug. 3, 2026.

This is based on research and market engagement to ensure alignment with market-standard specifications and to provide greater clarity regarding Platts' pork coverage.

The amendment reflects a timing change to 30 to 60 days, instead of 60 to 90 days, from the date of publication and a minimum shipment size of 24-27 metric ton net weight, instead of 25-27 mt, for both assessments. The EU Pork Marker's quality specifications will also be updated from "boneless and skinless" to "skinless and sheet-ribbed."
