Platts launches new European natural gas differential values July 20

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, has launched new natural gas spreads reflecting the differential between European hubs and reference markets like the Dutch TTF, German THE, Austrian CEGH and Spanish PVB, effective, July 20, 2026.

The differentials apply to all the European natural gas assessments published by Platts, except for the Dutch TTF hub, and will be published in euros per megawatt-hour. This decision was made to align with market practices and reflects increased interest in spread analysis.

The new spreads symbols are as follows:

Between the 1st and 15th of each month, the Spanish TVB 3rd Half Month are calculated against the TTF month-ahead; from the 16th through the last business day, it is calculated against the TTF second month-ahead.
