Platts proposes amendments for India and Myanmar rice assessments, effective Sep 1

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, proposes to amend quality specifications for part of its India and Myanmar rice price assessments, effective Sept. 1.

This is based on research and market engagement to ensure alignment with market-standard specifications and provide greater clarity regarding Platts rice coverage.

The proposed amendment reflects quality changes for the following price assessments:

The price assessments with the proposed changes are found on S&P Energy Core, Rice Daily publications and on fixed pages: PA2401, PA2412, PA3000, PA3003.

The assessments would consider market information reported to Platts and published as heards throughout the day, including firm bids and offers, trades, indicative values and any other data deemed relevant to the assessment process.
