Platts is proposing to change the size of its Medium Range clean assessments for cargoes moving from the Mediterranean to the US Gulf Coast and US Atlantic Coast. These assessments currently reflect a 33,000 mt cargo size. Platts proposes to change the size to 37,000 mt, reflecting the fact that the majority of fixtures seen on this route are now typically 37,000 mt in size. Platts proposes to make this change with effect from January 2, 2015. These freight rate assessments are currently published in Platts Clean Tankerwire and on Platts Global Alert page PGT 1910. Platts will consider all comments received and will make comments not marked as confidential available upon request. Please send all comments or questions by August 14, 2014 to tankers@platts.com and pricegroup@platts.com.
