Platts proposes to launch Moss Bluff Hub daily natural gas index

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, proposes to add a new Moss Bluff Hub daily natural gas index, effective for trade date Aug. 31 and flow date Sept. 1.

The methodology for the proposed new location would be as follows:

Moss Bluff Hub (daily market only): Deliveries into and out of interstate and intrastate pipelines at the Moss Bluff Hub in Liberty County, Texas. Pipelines include Texas Eastern Transmission, Natural Gas Pipeline Co. of America, Houston Pipe Line, Kinder Morgan Tejas Pipeline, Kinder Morgan Texas Pipeline, and the Enterprise Texas Intrastate System (including the Channel system). Included are deliveries and receipts into and out of Moss Bluff storage.
