Platts launches four new FOB China rare earth elements assessments

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, has launched four new FOB China rare earth elements price assessments, effective June 30, 2026.

The four monthly assessments are for oxide forms of neodymium-praseodymium (NdPr), dysprosium, terbium and samarium.

Specifications for the FOB China assessments are as follows. Other quantities and qualities may be normalized:

The new assessments are published on S&P Global Energy Core, on Platts Metals Alert fixed pages PMA0120, MTL0120 and in the Platts pricing database. They will be published in Platts Rare Earths Market Report, effective from July 10, 2026.

The assessments are published on the last business day of each month, following a US holiday calendar and reflecting a 10 am US Eastern price assessment timestamp.
