June 27, 2025
Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has launched daily ammonia assessments for CFR West and East Coast India and adjusted the specifications of the established weekly CFR India (FAICA04) ammonia assessment, effective June 27, 2025.
Platts has launched daily single-number assessments for ammonia CFR East Coast India and CFR West Coast India in an effort to provide a more granular view of the world's largest import market for ammonia.
The specifications of the daily assessments are detailed below:
| Assessment name | CFR West Coast India (ACWCI00) | CFR East Coast India (ACECI00) |
| Quality | Anhydrous ammonia, which is around 82% Nitrogen and is stored and transported as a liquid under pressure at around minus 33 C, with no restrictions on carbon intensity | Anhydrous ammonia, which is around 82% Nitrogen and is stored and transported as a liquid under pressure at around minus 33 C, with no restrictions on carbon intensity |

The specifications of the existing weekly CFR India ammonia assessment (FAICA04) have also been adjusted to align with those of the new daily CFR East Coast India and CFR West Coast India ammonia assessments.
Under this alignment, the contract element of the weekly CFR India assessment has been removed, and the quantity specification has been narrowed to a basis of 25,000 mt.
In addition, Platts has standardized the relationship between the proposed daily single-number assessments and the established weekly CFR India low-high assessment. From June 27, the weekly range reflects the lowest and highest of the daily CFR East Coast India and CFR West Coast India assessments published over the preceding week.
The adjustments to the specifications of the established weekly CFR India assessment are detailed below:
| Old specifications | Updated specifications effective June 27 | |
