Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, clarifies the vintages reflected by two of its Voluntary Carbon Credits Yr01 price assessments.
Platts publishes a number of its daily Voluntary Carbon Credit price assessments both for Current Year and for Yr01 delivery. Each assessment reflects a limited range of vintages, dependent on liquidity and fungibility.
On June 2, Platts launched two new price assessments for nature-based avoidance and biochar credits, both with Current Year and Year 01 delivery.
The vintage ranges currently reflected by the Yr01 assessments are as follows:
| Price Assessment | Vintage reflected |
| Nature Based Avoidance South America Yr01 | 2022-2025 |
| Biochar India Yr01 | 2024-2025 |
Full details of the above assessments can be found in the subscriber note published here.
Platts rolls the vintages reflected in its Voluntary Carbon Credit Assessments on the first working day of the third quarter each year.
