Platts to launch new European Natural Gas differential values July 20

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, will launch new n atural g as spreads reflecting the differential between European hubs and reference markets like the Dutch TTF, German THE, Austrian CEGH and Spanish PVB, effective July 20.

The differentials will apply to all the European natural gas assessments published by Platts, except for the Dutch TTF hub, and will be published in Eur/MWh.

This decision was made to align with market practices and reflect increased interest in spread analysis.

The new spreads will include differences between:

  • Day ahead UK NBP and Dutch TTF

  • Weekend UK NBP and Dutch TTF

  • Balance of month UK NBP and Dutch TTF

  • Month ahead UK NBP and Dutch TTF

  • Second month ahead UK NBP and Dutch TTF

  • Third month ahead UK NBP and Dutch TTF

  • Fourth month ahead UK NBP and Dutch TTF

  • Fifth month ahead UK NBP and Dutch TTF

Please note, between the 1st and 15th of each month, the Spanish TVB 3rd Half Month will be calculated against the TTF month-ahead; from the 16th through the last business day, it will be calculated against the TTF second month-ahead.
