Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, will amend the volumes reflected in its FAS Houston Polyvinyl Chloride Suspension price assessment to better align with market practices, effective July 22, 2026.
Platts will increase the minimum volume reflected in its assessment from 250 mt to 1,000 mt, and introduce a maximum volume of 5,000 mt.
Based on market feedback, Platts understands that the typical transaction volumes on a FAS Houston basis fall within 1,000 mt to 5,000 mt, with no observed price differentiation across transactions within these volumes.

Pricing information received outside the standard specifications, for example, for volume and quality, may be reflected in the assessment after normalization.
The assessment will continue to be published on Wednesdays at 1:30 pm CT, in line with the US publishing calendar.
The assessment appears in Polymerscan, on the fixed pages PCA0261, PCA0623, as well as on S&P Global Energy Core and in the Platts Price Point Database.
These changes were initially proposed on May 29 for a July 15 launch. The launch date was postponed to July 22 following market feedback.
