LNG
June 16, 2026
Effective immediately, on June 16, 2026, Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, has suspended publishing offers in the LNG Market on Close assessment process whereby port nominations reflect Australia's Ichthys LNG loading port, until further notice.
Sellers should also not nominate Ichthys LNG either as a base loading port when expressing interest to trade a bid in the MOC process or as an alternative loading port following a trade reported via the MOC process.
This temporary measure follows further development of protected industrial action at the LNG project which began May 27, with more significant forms of industrial action from June 11.
Platts would like to remind market participants that those who intend to sell should not offer when there is a known and distinct possibility that loading or delivery may be delayed.
