Platts proposes to discontinue RD100 LA, SF premiums effective Oct 1

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, proposes to discontinue the Renewable Diesel RD100 Los Angeles (LA) and San Francisco (SF) spreads to NYMEX ULSD and CARB ULSD, effective Oct. 1, 2026.

Platts has seen reduced relevancy for the RD100 versus NYMEX ULSD and CARB ULSD premiums. Outright RD100 prices are more often used as a reference price for renewable diesel with credits, such as LCFS and RINs, attached.

The following assessments are proposed to be discontinued from Oct. 1:

Assessment Symbol Monthly Averages
RD100 LA vs CARB ULSD RAUWG00 RAUWG03
RD100 LA vs NYMEX ULSD AAUWG00 AAUWG03
RD100 SF vs CARB ULSD RAUWI00 RAUWI03
RD100 SF vs NYMEX ULSD AAUWI00 AAUWI03

The assessments are published on fixed pages PB0010, PB0011, PB0012, PBF310 and PBF311, as well as in the Platts Biofuelscan and Biomass-Based Diesel Report.
