Platts to launch European Ethanol T2 FOB Rotterdam derivatives eWindow instrument, July 20

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, will launch the Platts Editorial Window, or eWindow, communication tool for the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) Ethanol T2 FOB Rotterdam Barges futures contract, effective July 20, 2026.

This will appear on the eWindow as: Platts T2 Ethanol NWE.

Approved participants within the Platts Market on Close assessment process may submit bids or offers for publication directly through the eWindow or through an editor who may publish bids and offers on their behalf.

Platts will require participants to undergo a separate review process to the Ethanol T2 FOB Rotterdam barge MOC in order to publish bids and offers.

Platts will launch eWindow instruments for the balance month (balmo), months 1 through 12, four quarters forward and two calendar months.

In addition, Platts will launch instruments for inter-month spreads, inter-quarter spreads and calendar year spreads.

The instruments in the eWindow will reflect lot sizes of 100 cubic meters, with a minimum of five lots and a maximum of 200 lots.

Platts has established clearly defined timing guidelines and standards of incrementability that apply when publishing bids and offers in the MOC in order to ensure an orderly and transparent price assessment process.

INCREMENTABILITY: Bids and offers for Ethanol T2 FOB Rotterdam derivatives may be improved by a maximum of Eur1/cu m ($1.16/cu m) every 20 seconds via the eWindow or Eur1/cu m every 60 seconds via an editor.

TIMING: The cutoff for new bids and offers will be 16:20:00:00 London time for outright instruments and 16:00:00:00 London time for spreads.

REPEATABILITY: Market participants will have 30 seconds to repeat a bid or offer, following a trade via eWindow, and 60 seconds via an editor.

EXTENSION: An extension of one minute will be triggered by any price changes or a rebid or reoffer in the last 20 seconds before the close at 16.30.00.999 London time.
