Platts to launch new FOB China Acrylonitrile assessment July 7

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, will launch a new weekly FOB China Acrylonitrile (ACN) assessment, effective July 7.

The assessment will complement Platts' existing coverage of acrylonitrile and propylene markets in Asia, as well as reflect China's increasing export presence in the region.

Details of the assessment:

Caojing and Nantong have been included as basis ports in addition to what was initially proposed, in view of export volumes from these ports and further feedback from market participants.

The FOB China ACN assessment was first proposed in a note published April 20 available here.

Market information for product with other specifications and non-standard terms may be considered for the assessment and may be subject to normalization to the standard specifications and terms.

The new assessment will be published in Polymerscan, Fiber Marketscan, PCA177, Platts database, and on S&P Global Energy Core.
