Platts updates European PPA GO inputs, timestamp

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, has updated Guarantees of Origin inputs for its European Power Purchase Agreement assessments and instituted a timestamp, effective May 1.

Platts PPA indexes reflect pay-as-produced PPA contracts for a duration of 10 years, with GOs included.

Platts' European PPA assessments will now reflect a 4:30 pm London timestamp.

The affected assessments are as follows:

Assessment name Symbol
Platts PPA Germany Solar 10-Year Pay-As-Produced Index Eur/MWh CESJA00
Platts PPA Germany Onshore Wind 10-Year Pay-As-Produced Index Eur/MWh CESJB00
Platts PPA Spain Solar 10-Year Pay-As-Produced Index Eur/MWh CESJC00
Platts PPA Spain Onshore Wind 10-Year Pay-As-Produced Index Eur/MWh CESJD00

This also impacts the corresponding monthly averages. These assessments appear in the European Power Daily publication and on the fixed pages CLE1101, PEP0101, CLE1102, and PEP0102.
