Platts updates renewable ammonia assessment capex and WACC figures, April 1

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, has updated its capital expenditure and weighted-average cost of capital figures, which are used in the calculation of renewable ammonia assessments as part of the annual review of the Platts Hydrogen Methodology, effective April 1, 2026.

With this update, Platts reflects current pricing for stacks as original equipment manufacturers move toward more standardized, modularized solutions for installing electrolyzers at renewable hydrogen and ammonia projects. These updated capital expenditure and financing costs are based on industry input and feedback.
