Platts to postpone launch of CIF Middle East poultry price assessments to May 1,2026

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, will postpone the launch of its three new daily CIF Middle East poultry price assessments to May 1, due to vessel transit issues via the Strait of Hormuz.

Platts previously announced its intention to launch these assessments on April 1, as outlined in a subscriber note published March 2.

Many major shipping companies have halted transit through the Strait of Hormuz amid heightened safety concerns after Israel and the US launched air strikes on Iran on Feb. 28, 2026.

Platts will continue to monitor developments in the region closely and will communicate any further updates to market participants via the publication of additional subscriber notes.
