Platts to publish Middle East freight assessments, including Clean Arab Gulf-Japan LR1 55kt

Platts, part of S&P Global Energy, confirms it will publish Middle East freight assessments amid shipping disruptions within the Strait of Hormuz following conflict in the Middle East.

This includes benchmark Clean Arab Gulf-Japan LR1 55kt (PFAEY10).

Platts will assess utilizing all available fixtures and market information within the region. Platts will also exercise judgment and related routes in assessing the value if there are no relevant fixtures.

Platts continues to review shipping restrictions and their impact on the market.
